Presidency of the Makassed Islamic Charitable Society 2000:

 

In 2000, Amin Muhammad Omar al-Daouk was elected as the president of the Makassed Islamic Charitable Society in Beirut. Carrying on his father and grandfather's (Omar Muhammad Bey al-Daouk) legacy, he initiated in a rapid development of the philanthropic organization and expanded its accreditation abroad the Lebanese boarders. The accreditation of the organization under his presidency reach the Gulf Cooperation Council states and the North African Arab region. Amin also significantly expanded the capital fund the organization operates, which resulted with Makassed being able to aid a higher volume of people in shorter periods of time. 

Also prominent from the family of Daouk, the prominent Islamic preacher and engineer, creative Mohammed Omar Daouk (1910-2006), founder of the group Ebad Rahman, and the owner of outstanding engineering inventions. He made an outstanding contribution to Beirut, Lebanon and the Arab world by spreading the Islamic call and Islamic culture. At the same time, he is considered a pioneer in scouting and sports work, and he was the first to encourage the youth of the Ebad-ur-Rahman group to climb on the rock of Raouche, who set up a camp. He has many publications, articles, research and studies. He died in Dubai in 2006.

He emerged from the Daouk family, Mr. Khaled Daouk, one of the national events, political and social in Beirut and Lebanon and was nominated more than once for the parliamentary elections. He is considered to be one of the most prominent intellectuals in Lebanon and the Arab world. Founder of Dar Al Tali'ah Publishing and Printing House, member of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Arab Unity Studies and the Arab National Congress, a graduate of the American University of Beirut and American universities. His wife is the Syrian writer Ghada Samman. Professor Hazem Bashir Aldaouq is a professor at an American university. Mr. Bashir Jamil Al-Daouq is the nephew of Omar Baq Al-Daouq and Prime Minister Ahmed Bey Daouq, as emerged from the family Hassan Bek Ben Omar Bey Daouk and his son d. Ghaleb al-Daouq His mother, Hassaneh Fathallah Daouq, who died in Beirut on 25/8/2008, and was known by the family lawyer Mohamed Amin Ben Sheikh Mohamed Jumaa Daouq, President of the Beirut Assembly, and the President of the Islamic Center. Anis Daouk, a legal officer at Banque Misr-Lebanon, was also known.
